5) Open a "COMMAND PROMPT" window and Execute "ipconfig" command to make sure
that your PC is assigned an IP address, subnet mask and default gateway value.
Remember the IP Address value should be in 192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.254, subnet
mask should be 255.255.255.0, and Default Gateway should be 192.168.0.1
6) From the Windows system, go to "run," and type in "command."
7) From the "Command Prompt" screen, type "ping 192.168.0.1" and press "Enter.
Ex.,
[c:\]ping 192.168.0.1
Pinging 192.168.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 3ms, Average = 2ms
