6.2 Connection

Within this screen, the information regarding the current IP address allocation and registration
state are included. The physical connection status is displayed as well.
Provisioning means that an analog terminal adaptor can be configured automatically by
receiving the necessary information from a pre-defined auto-provisioning server. A terminal
adaptor sends the messages formatted to the provisioning server which is authenticated by its
unique key & other information. After a terminal adaptor receives the information about the
VoIP server, account, phone number, etc., it will attempt to register on the SIP server. When
the registration succeeds, as shown below, the Registration Status will show as "Success." If
the registration fails, the status will show as Idle.
1) VoIP Registration shows registration status of each port.
- Idle: It has never sent REGISTER request. Check out the phone number of the port
and IP related parameters.
- Trying: It has been sending REGISTER requests.
- Timeout: It has never received proper response yet.
Declined: It gets „4xx Client Error‟ response for REGISTER request such as 401, 403.

Success: It received „200 Registration Successful‟ from server.

2) Provisioned Statue indicates the Provisioning status.
- Success: Provisioning was completed successfully.
- Failed: Provisioning was failed.
NOTE
Provisioning function depends on Service Provider.
