3. Mounting the Transfer Corona Unit
1) Check that the wire cleaning mount is at the
home position.

2) Movethewirecleanerofthetransfercoronaunit
by hand to the front.
3) Slidethetransfercoronaunit intothecopier, and
check that the pins of the wire cleaner are inside
the wire cleaner unit.
4) Mount the transfer corona unit cover.

If the wire cleaner mount is not at the home
position. perform the following:
The wire cleaner mount stops where it is as soon
as the copier is turned OFF during cleaning
operation; in such cases, work as follows:
Movethewirecleanerofthetransfercoronaunit
by hand to the rear as far as it goes.
Mount the transfer corona unit.

and check that the wire cleane returns to the
home position.
Note:
The step given above is for when the cleaning
motor is in good condition; if the motor is not
faifstoreturnto the homeposition becauseof
displaced screws, the COPY START key on
the control panel remains red. As such, if the
key remains red after the wait period, check
the cleaning motor.
