On page 3-22 following
the
last line of
the
last paragraph
under
the
heading
"BRAKE
WEAR LIMITS"
add the
following:
CLEVELAND
BRAKE
LINING REMOVAL
On all aircraft
which
have
the
CLEVELAND
brake
assembly,
the
lining,
after
extended
use
has a
tendency to
stick
to the
retaining
plate.
The locating
pins for
the
lining
section
are peened
into
the
retaining
plate,
(See
figure
1.) It is not necessary
to
drill
out
these
locating
pins
to
remove
the
brake
lining.
To remove
the
lining
apply a screwdriver
or a similar
prying
tool
between
the
retaining
plate
and
the
lining,
the
lining
should
then
pop off. Replace
the
lining
by fitting
a new lining
section
over
the
locating
pins in
the
retainer
plate.
