4.2.5 Installing 3G NIC

Insert the 3G NIC into the USB interface and log in to the Web interface of the MSG1200.
Choose Device at the navigation bar to view information about the 3G NIC. Click More to
view detailed information about the 3G NIC.

4.2.6 Powering device on

Step 1 After the MSG1200 is installed properly, insert the power adaptor plug and connect the power.
Step 2 Press the Lamp switch and the POWER button. It indicates that the MSG1200 is powered on
if the POWER LED lights up.
Step 3 The MSG1200 is performing self-check and being initialized when all LEDs are lighted up.
Step 4 After self-check and initialization, the MSG is running.
Cover the optical interface with the dust-proof cover when the MSG1200 is not
used to prevent device from working improperly caused by dust or

cover to prevent dusts or other contaminants from entering the optical interface.
Otherwise, the MSG1200 may work improperly.
The MSG1200 is equipped with invisible laser. Do not stare into optical interfaces,
connectors, or the damaged fibers.
Do not stretch or bend the fiber overly. The radius of curvature should be equal to
or greater than 40 mm.
