     When failing to be connected uplink to a device through a fiber/cable, the MSG1200 can be connected uplink to the device through the 3G Network Interface Card (NIC). Therefore, services cannot be interrupted. The MSG1200 provides excellent reliability for enterprises.

    Power adaptor 2.1 Appearance The MSG1200 uses a plastic shell and is of fan-free for heat dissipation. It adopts a power adaptor to address needs of voltage and current of modules. In addition, it is embedded with a 3G/WLAN antenna.

    The single-mode fiber is yellow while the multi- mode fiber is orange. The MSG1200 can use a fiber to connect the Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) or the optical interface of other devices. Table 2-5 lists types and purposes of fibers.

    4 Device usage Figure 4-3 Connecting other devices Connecting fibers Optical interfaces of the MSG1200 include SFP, EPON, and UPON interfaces. To connect fibers to the optical interfaces, follow these steps: Step 1 Remove the fiber cover, as shown in Figure 4-4.

    4.4.1 Connecting PC to MSG1200 Step 1 Connect a PC to the MSG1200. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the network interface of the PC and any LAN interface of the MSG1200. Power on the MSG1200 and all LEDs are in normal status, as shown in Figure 4-9.

    Objects, such as the concrete/wooden wall may cause wireless signal attenuation. Therefore, install the MSG1200 in an open space.  The PC is far away from the MSG1200. Locate the PC near to the MSG1200.  Thunderstorm weather may influence the wireless network. We recommend using the wireless network on a day with nice weather.
