U/S/P is used to describe the interface number. U refers to Unit. S refers to the slot number of the interface card. P refers to the interface number on the interface card. For example, for Gazelle S3028i, the fixed value of Unit is 1, and 1/3/4 as shown in Figure 2-6 refers to interface 4 in slot S3.
