Device usage

This chapter describes how to use the MSG1200, including the following sections:

Before installing the MSG1200, you must confirm the following matters:

Place it somewhere ventilated and out of direct sunshine.
Keep at least 10 cm heat dissipation space around and above the device during the
installation. Ensure that the device keeps away from heat sources or bare fire sources,
such as the electric heater and candle.
Use accessories (such as the power adaptor) suitable for the device. Ensure that the plug
is clear and dry to avoid an electric shock or other dangers. Do not use damaged/aged
power cables.
Do not place any object on the device, power cable, or plug. Do not cover the air-
conditioning holes with objects.
Do not operate the device during a thunderstorm. Power off the device and remove the
power cable and telephone cable to avoid device damage.
Keep the device dry during storage, shipment, and usage. Power off the device and
contact Raisecom technical supporters if any liquid runs into the chassis.
Children are forbidden to use the device without supervision. Do not let children touch
small accessories to prevent dangers caused by swallowing them.
Stop and power off the device before cleaning it. Use a soft cloth to clean the shell.
Stop and power off the device, as well as pull the plug out as soon as any anomaly occurs,
such as smoking, abnormal noises, and unpleasant smell.
Do not disassemble the device. Contact Raisecom technical supporters when the device
fails.
