Tackle Box

The tackle box is located forward of the port side cap

Drain Plug
B
efore launchin
g the boat, always make sure that the drain plug has been installed in the fitting on the
transom a
t the keel. If your boat is being transported, remove the drain plug once the boat is secured on
the trailer so that any excess water can be drained via the fitting. Never remove the drain plug when the
boat is sitting static in the water.
If you live in an area where it snows and you are storing your boat on a lift during the winter, make sure
t
hat you remove the drain plug. When the snow melts, if the floa
fail, it could
flood the bilge and damage electrical components in the bilge.
Cockpit / Deck Drains
Cockpit/deck drains are installed in the aft area of the cockpit and
allow excess water in the cockpit to drain overboard via thru hulls
on each side of the boat. To ensure that there is no blockage in
any of the hoses connected to the drains, it is recommended that
you occasiona
lly run water through each of the cockpit drains and
visually inspect the thru hulls to verify that water flows freely and
that there is no blockage. To trouble shoot, check the hoses for
leaks and make certain that all hose connections are secure.
Thru Hull Fittings
Thru hull fittings provide overboard drainage. The following photos indicate the source of drainage for
each of the thru hulls:
