Operating Modes

Upon delivery, the "WLAN Bridge" operating mode is precon-
figured in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
You can also deploy the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater in the "LAN
Bridge"operating mode.
Which operating mode to be used depends on how the Inter-
net router (FRITZ!Box) is to be connected with the
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
Operating Mode
WLAN bridge (preset) via wireless radio
LAN bridge
Network devices include, for instance, PCs, notebooks, tab-
lets and smartphones.

How to connect the
Internet router:
via LAN cable
Open the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater user interface
(see page 21).
If you cannot open the user interface, connect the com-
puter to the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater using the LAN cable in-
cluded with delivery. Enter the address
http://192.168.178.2
Select "System / Operating Mode".
Click the "Change Operating Mode" button.
Select the desired operating mode.
Click "Next" and follow the instructions.
