FT1000 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
CABLE AND TOPWEIGHT ASSEMBLY
E. Disassemble the selector stem from each topweight by removing the 7/16"
socket head cap screw. Re-assemble each selector stem and topweight to a
2:1 Topweight Bracket using the same 7/16" screw.
F. Place a 2:1 cable under the groove of a 4 ½" Pulley. Place the pulley into a
2:1 Topweight Bracket with the loop end of the cable on the same side of the
topweight as the socket head cap screw. Assemble the pulley to the 2:1
Topweight Bracket using one 3/8" x 2" bolt, two flat washers, and one locknut.
Repeat for the second cable and topweight assembly.
G. Disassemble the selector stem from each topweight by removing the 7/16"
socket head cap screw. Re-assemble each selector stem and topweight to a
4:1 Topweight Bracket using the same 7/16" screw.
H. Place the loop end of one 4:1 cable under the groove of a 4 ½" Pulley. Place
the pulley into the L/H slot of one of the 4:1 Topweight Brackets with the loop
end of the cable on the same side of the topweight as the socket head cap
screw. Place the threaded end of the cable under the groove of a 4 ½" Pulley.
Place the pulley into the R/H slot of the Topweight Bracket with the threaded
end out the opposite side of the topweight. This is the R/H Topweight
Assembly pictured.
Place the loop end of the other 4:1 cable in the groove of a 4 ½" Pulley.
Place the pulley into the R/H slot of one of the other 4:1 Topweight Bracket
with the loop end of the cable on the same side of the topweight as the socket
head cap screw. Place the threaded end of the cable under the groove of a
4 ½" Pulley. Place the pulley into the L/H slot of the Topweight Bracket with
the threaded end out the opposite side of the topweight.
Assemble the pulleys to each 4:1 Topweight Bracket using one 3/8" x 3 ¼"
bolt, two flat washers, and one locknut. This is the L/H Topweight Ass'y.
I. Place the center of each 4:1 cable over a 4 ½" Pulley and install into the
Upper Pulley Bracket that corresponds with the cable routing in the Topweight
Bracket. Use one 3/8" x 2" bolt, two flat washers and one locknut to secure
each pulley.
