FT1000 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

MAIN STRUCTURE ASSEMBLY

THE L/H AND R/H MAIN FRAMES OF THE FT1000 ARE HEAVY.
THE FRAMES ARE TALL AND NARROW AND WILL BE UNSTABLE UNTIL
BOLTED TOGETHER WITH THE CROSS BRACES.
DO NOT STAND A FRAME UP AND THEN LEAVE IT UNATTENDED.
A. Do not fully tighten the bolts until after Step B. You will need the bolts to be
loose to align the components for assembly.
Stand the L/H Main Frame and assemble the Lower Cross Tube (no hooks) to
the lower two holes in the round tube using two 3/8" x 3 ¾" bolts, four curved
washers, and two locknuts.
Stand the R/H Main Frame. Take care with the Step. Align the R/H Main
Upright with the Lower Cross Tube and assemble using two 3/8" x 3 ¾" bolts,
four curved washers and two locknuts.
Assemble the Upper Cross Brace (with hooks) to the Main Uprights using
four 3/8" x 3 ¾" bolts, eight curved washers, and four locknuts. Do not fully
tighten the bolts at this time.
B. Assemble the Pull-up Bar to the L/H and R/H Main Uprights using 4 – 3/8" x 2
¾" bolts, 8 – 3/8" flat washers, and 4 – 3/8" nuts. Two of the bolts are pre-
installed and just need to have the nuts removed. Check the fit of the Cross
Tubes and Pull-Up Bar and tighten all the bolts at this time.
C. Adjust the threaded foot down to touch the floor. Secure by tightening the
jam nut
D. Loosen the 3/8" bolts at the top of the guide rods. Lean the guide rods to the
inside of the machine and slide off the topweight/selector stem assembly.
