FT1000 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
THE FOLLOWING CABLE ROUTING APPLIES FOR BOTH THE STANDARD
2:1 AND THE 4:1 OPTION FUNCTIONAL TRAINER
N. Route the threaded end of the cable over a 3 ½" Pulley. Attach the Pulley,
cable, and a Pulley Cover to the angled welded post located above the guide
rods using one 3/8" x 1 ¾" bolt and one 3/8" flat washer. Orient the tab of the
Pulley cover above the Pulley.
O. Route the cable forward between the pulley plates located at the obround
tube. Route the threaded cable end inside the tube, down and out the
opening at the bottom taking care not to scrape the cable's coating. Install a
3 ½" pulley under the cable between the plates at the top of the obround tube
using one 3/8' x 2" bolt, two flat washers, and one locknut.
P. Place a 3 ½" Pulley over the cable where it exits the tube and install it
between the plates using one 3/8' x 2" bolt, two flat washers, and one locknut.
Q. Route the threaded end of the cable up to the threaded post at the bottom of
the Pulley Carriage and install. Do not tighten the jam nut until the cable is
completely routed. Use the threaded end to adjust the cable tension and then
tighten the jam nut.
R. Route the loop end of the cable up to the welded post located above the
guide rods. Place the cable over a 3 ½" Pulley and attach the Pulley here
with a Pulley Cover using one 3/8" x 1 ¾" bolt and one flat washer. Orient the
tab of the Pulley Cover above the Pulley.
S. Continue the cable forward to the welded post located above the chrome
selector tube. Place the cable over a 3 ½" Pulley and attach the Pulley here
with a Pulley Cover using one 3/8" x 4 ¼" bolt, two flat washers, and one nut.
Orient the tab of the Pulley Cover above the Pulley.
T. Install a 4 ½" Pulley between the plates of the Pulley Carriage in the lower
position using one 1 ¾" bolt, two flat washers, and one locknut. Place the
loop end off the cable under a 4 ½" Pulley and install in the upper position
using one 3/8" x 1 ¾" bolt, two flat washers and one locknut.
