5.2 How to Process a Cash Only Transaction
If 'Cash' is enabled on the terminal, customers can be given cash out. Cash is available
from cheque and savings accounts only.

**REMOVE CARD**
Beforecompletingthesale,checkthatthetransactionwasapproved.Handthecustomer
theircopyofthetransactionrecordandtheircard.Ifthetransactionisdeclined,the
terminalwilldisplayanerrormessagegivingthereason.Anexplanationoftheerrorcode
isavailableinChapter11.2,ResponseCodes.

PROCEDURE
Press ENTER until CASH is displayed on the screen.
Press the select key beneath CASH.
RFND
Key in the cash amount and press ENTER.
Insert the customer's chip card into the chip card
reader.
Or:
Swipe the customer's card through the card reader.
Select either CHQ or SAV.
Note: CR is not an option.
SAV
When prompted, have the cardholder key in their
PIN and press ENTER.
The terminal is connecting to the bank and
processing the transaction.
Press ENTER to print customer's receipt.
If the card was inserted, remove the card from the
reader.
