VM3404H / VM3909H User Manual

Security Mode

The Security Mode page allows users to manage the VM3404H / VM3909H's
password-related settings; the Password page configures the VM3404H /
VM3909H to require a password for local operation after the LCD display
times out or is powered off/on; the Change Password option allows users to
set a new password for the VM3404H / VM3909H.
To configure the VM3404H / VM3909H's password settings from the Main
Screen, use the Menu pushbutton to access the Menu page, press Next to
navigate to the next pages, then press pushbutton 2 to access the Security Mode
page.

Password

1. To set the VM3404H / VM3909H to require a password for local
operation, press pushbutton 1.
1. Password: Disable
2. Change Password
2. To require a password after the LCD display times out or is powered off/
on, press pushbutton 1. Otherwise, press pushbutton 2.
1. Password Enable
2. Password Disable
Note: If Password is Enabled, the LCD display's default time-out is 5 minutes.
3. Press Menu to return to the Menu page.
4. Press Cancel to return to the previous step without saving.
