To connect a RS232 cable to the Fieldbook:
1.
Open the right side I/O cover (Refer to chapter 3.1.2 for the right I/O cover on page 22)
Align the RS-232 cable with the port off the Fieldbook and connect it.

If necessary, connect the other end of the cable to your serial device.

3.3 Connecting to a WiFi Network
When you first set up Windows, you might have already connected to a network. If not, you can see a list of
available networks and connect to one.
To see a list of available networks
1.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then
tap Settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right
corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up,
and then click Settings.)

Check the network icon. It'll show if you're
connected and how strong the connection is.

If you're not connected, tap or click the network icon

Tap or click the name of the network you want to connect to, and then tap or click Connect.
5.
You might be asked for the network password. You
can get it from the network admin. If you're at home,
this is probably someone in your family. If you're at
work, ask your IT admin. If you're in a public place,
like a coffee shop, ask someone who works there.
6.
If you want to connect to this network every time it's
in range, select the Connect automatically check
box.
3.4 Using the GPS
The Fieldbook features a built-in u-blox Max-M8 module that is capable to receive GPS, GLONASS and
BeiDou signals.
To use the GPS in your own application, you have to choose the port COM 3 to receive the data.
3.5 Using the Barcode scanner
The Fieldbook features a built-in professional 1D / 2D barcode scanner (Option). The barcode can be
