AISHUT (Automatic Aperture)

This menu enables you to activate the automatically controlled aperture (auto
iris). The aperture controls the amount of light that reaches the camera and
also determines the depth of field.
Note: You should definitely activate the auto iris function when there are large
fluctuations in the lighting conditions (outdoor surveillance).
G Move the arrow
to the <AISHUT> menu.
G Press the <ENTER> key to open up the
input mode.
G Press <UP> or <DOWN> to change the
selection from AUTO to FIX.
G Press the <ENTER> key to enter the input
mode of the submenu selected.
Auto
In this submenu you activate the auto iris function. The amount of light
transmitted to the camera is controlled automatically.
FIX
This submenu is where you can set the aperture to a fixed value. The smaller
the aperture diameter, the greater will be the range that is shown in focus on
the monitor.
Note: If small aperture diameters are chosen (Setting 1), a greater amount of
light will be necessary to generate a picture at all. If the light conditions have
changed, the aperture may have to be readjusted.
G Press the <UP> or <DOWN> keys to
change the settings.
G Press the <ESC> key twice to quit the
submenu.
' This will take you back to the setup
menu.
