9. Optical unit

Copy lamp

Move the copy lamp unit to the cut in the
rear of the top cabinet and remove the

rear frame side copy lamp electrode
holding screw.
Remove the copy lamp.

NOTE: Note the direction of the copy lamp.

It must be installed with the bulge of the copy
lamp near the rear side, as shown in the figure.

Copy lamp unit
Remove the original guides (L, R) and remove the table glass (two each screws).

Remove the wire
holding plates found on
both frame sides of the

copy lamp unit, then
remove wires from the
side plates (F, R).
Rotate the copy lamp

unit to remove.

#2/3 mirror base unit
Remove the operation panel.
Remove the top cabinet, left.
Remove the left cabinet.
Remove the upper dark box cover (2 screw).
Remove the mirror
base wire from the

#2/3 mirror base unit.
Move the #2/3 mirror
base unit to the square
hole (a) on the front
9
side of the optical
baseplate, then rotate
it to remove.
Remove the optical harness connectors.
Remove the lens motor connectors.
Remove the lens home position sensor connector.

Unfasten the document sensor light receive board
connector. Remove the front cabinet switch junction
harness.

#4/5 mirror base unit
Remove the rear panel

(6 screw).
Record value for

assembly.
Remove the #4/5 mirror
motor holding bracket

(6 screw).
Remove the mirror base
unit together with the

#4/5 mirror motor
holding bracket assy.
