8. To install the toner collecting container.
• When a container fixing lever is installed
Reinstall the toner collecting container that has been removed in step
4, restore the container fixing lever, and close the storage cover for
the toner collecting container.

Reinstall the toner collecting container that has been removed in step
4. Press it down to its original position and push it into the machine as
far as it will go. Close the storage cover.

9. To check and adjust the matching guide.
1 Mark a duplex copy.
2 Remove the duplex unit from the copier main unit, and open the
paper guide.
3 Set the copy that has been made in step I or a sheet of the same
size on the duplex tray. Align the paper to either alignment guide
F, or R, to check the gap. Check to see if the gap between either
of the alignment guides and the paper is from 0 to 0.5 mm.

When the matching guide is aligned properly,
perform step 10 in the Installation Procedure.
When the matching guide is not aligned properly,
perform the following Procedure to adjust the
matching guide.
A. Set the mode using the following key operation on the copier main
unit:

Then current set value is displayed.
B. To set the adjustment mode, input the set value as shown below
after the operation above:

Changing the set value by (1) causes the matching guide width to
move 0.5mm to 0.6mm.

C. Perform the steps 1 to 3 again to check the width.
10. To adjust the center dislocation.
When copy result shows center dislocation as shown in Fig. 1 and
Fig. 2, loosen the four screws (indicated by ↓) that fix the front
cabinet.

Caution:
When you fix the front cabinet, the gap between a fixing screw and
the cabinet is symmetrical for the fixing screw sections a b.
