EPA Energy Star®
Introduction
Océ-Technologies B.V. has joined the Energy Star® Program of the United
States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The purpose of the Energy
Star® Program is to promote the manufacturing and marketing of
energy-efficient equipment, thereby potentially reducing combustion-related
pollution. Using the energy management features outlined below prevents
unnecessary power consumption, which helps to prevent air pollution from
electricity generating plants and saves money on your utility bills.
As an Energy Star® Partner, Océ-Technologies B.V. has determined that from
the Océ VarioPrint 2045-65 Digital Copier series the Océ VarioPrint 2055 and
Océ VarioPrint 2065 meet the Energy Star® guidelines for energy efficiency.
The Océ VarioPrint 2045 has the same energy efficiency features but does not
meet the Energy Star® requirement for the low power mode.
Read the Product Safety Data Sheet in this appendix for power consumption
data.
Read the Océ VarioPrint 2045-65 DC Configuration and Maintenance Manual
to set the energy save modes.

The Energy Star® Criteria include following features:
The energy save modes:
Low power mode
The Océ VarioPrint 2045-65 DC enters automatically the low power mode
15 minutes after completion of the last job. The Key Operator can adjust the
low power mode default time (1-15 minutes).
Auto-off mode
The Océ VarioPrint 2045-65 DC switches off automatically 90 minutes
after completion of the last job. The Key Operator can adjust the auto-off
default time (10-90 minutes).
If the above mentioned default times for the low power mode (15 minutes)
or auto-off mode (90 minutes) cause inconvenience, request the service
technician to increase the limit to a maximum of 240 minutes. We suggest
