Description of the function
The 'Automatic' value is the default setting in the 'Source' func-
tion box.
The value changes to 'Tray' if you select a different size.
The selected size is related to the dimensions of the originals
detected by the automatic document feeder. You can change
the size.
The platen does not detect the dimensions of the originals so
that the default setting (8.5 x 11'' from tray 4) is used, unless
you change the size.
Make sure that the orientation of the selected size matches the
feed direction of the originals.
The current size is displayed in the 'Paper' section.
If the orientation of the stock of paper in the tray does not
match the feed direction of the originals in the automatic doc-
ument feeder, the Océ VarioPrint 2045-65 DC rotates the the
image 90°.
If rotation of the image occurs, a rotation symbol
played in the 'Extra' section.
The 'Special feeder' value allows you to use special material,
such as an overhead sheet (see 'Input trays, output bins and
materials' on page 82).
If you use the special feeder, select the paper size of the special
material (see 'Add paper to the special feeder' on page 71).
In addition to the standard sizes (11 x 17'', 8.5 x 11'' and 5.5 x
8.5''), you can insert special paper sizes in the special feeder
(see 'Copy on special material' on page 52).
The upper icon in the 'Size' function box provides several sizes
to select from.
