Configuring DRO-250i
Service Name - Enter the service name provided by your ISP. (optional)
Connect/Disconnect: User has to click on connect button after applying
the PPPoE settings. And user has to click on disconnect button if he/she
wants to discontinue the connection. If user has configured WAN3 as
static or dynamic, then user should apply the PPPoE settings before
clicking on connect button.
Option to choose DMZ/Ethernet WAN
DRO-250i users can use the same physical port as DMZ or Ethernet
WAN, called WAN3. User can check the option he/she wants. After
checking the proper option i.e. DMZ or Ethernet WAN, the physical port
will behave in that manner.
For example, if currently the port is working as DMZ port, then user can
check the option of Ethernet WAN and click on Apply Button. After
clicking on Apply button, the port will start behaving as Ethernet WAN. It
works vice versa too.
Unnumbered Interfaces
Only point-to-point interfaces can be configured as an unnumbered
interface. An unnumbered interface, borrows the LAN IP address by
default. The user can edit this and configure a custom IP address on the
unnumbered interface. The subnet mask for an unnumbered interface is
always 255.255.255.255. For Dialup interfaces, the Remote IP field will
be disabled and determined only through negotiation. When NAT is
enabled on an unnumbered interface, local services (such as DNS Proxy
etc) may be affected
To overcome this problem, configure one of the
.
Global IP addresses from the NAT pool as the unnumbered interface's IP
address.
Routers at both ends of the point-to-point link should be configured to be
unnumbered
