d. Because one router may lose its connection while the other's connec-
tion is still good, both the Berlin and the Mannheim router should be
able to originate calls. Both routers should also accept backup calls
from the peer, even if the ADSL connection on that side is still up. The
backup call mode, therefore, should remain at the default originate-
answer-always setting.
In order to forward traffic across the backup connection, the ProCurve
Secure Router must have a route that uses the backup interface as a
forwarding interface. However, the routing table should not include this
route while the primary connection is up. See "Configuring IP Routing"
on page A-20 for more information on configuring the backup route, as
well as other routes.
5. Configure demand routing for the ISDN connections to Prague and Dub-
lin. For more information about configuring demand routing, see the
Basic Management and Configuration Guide, Chapter 8: Configuring
Demand Routing for Primary ISDN Modules.
a. Configure the ACLs that define the interesting traffic which will
initiate the ISDN connections. For the connection to Dublin, the ACL
will trigger demand routing when there is traffic from either of
Mannheim's LANs with a destination address on Dublin's LAN. For
the connection to Prague, the ACL will trigger demand routing when
there is traffic from either of Mannheim's LANs to the Prague branch
office LAN.
