ensure that they make the ISDN connection with the correct peer at
the remote site.

d. Because one router may lose its connection while the other's connec-
tion is still good, both the Berlin and the Mannheim router should be
able to originate calls. Both routers should also accept backup calls
from the peer, even if the ADSL connection on that side is still up. The
backup call mode, therefore, should remain at the default originate-
answer-always setting.
In order to forward traffic across the backup connection, the ProCurve Secure
Router must have a route that uses the backup interface as a forwarding
interface. However, the routing table should not include this route while the
primary connection is up. See "Configuring IP Routing" on page A-20 for more
information on configuring the backup route, as well as other routes.

Mannheim

The Mannheim office requires a connection to the two LANs maintained on-
site, an ADSL connection with persistent backup to the Berlin office, two on-
demand ISDN connections (one to the branch office in Prague and another to
the branch office in Dublin), and an E1 connection to an ISP.
