Making a custom FLX-60 connector string

Necessary tools
FLX-60 Bench tool or Hand tool for mounting the FLX-60 connector.
Marker pen.
Necessary parts
FLX-60 Crimp/pierce connectors. One pair per socket.
FLX-60 Rectangular pierce cable.
FLX Amphenol Female connector with rectangular insert. One per connector string.
FLX Amphenol Male connector with rectangular insert. One per connector string.
How to make a custom FLX-60 connector string?
1. Cut the FLX-60 rectangular pierce cable to length as per the required design.
2. Punch a hole in the cable at positions where the FLX-60 pixel has to be attached. Use the FLX-60 Bench tool or Hand tool.
Note: The required force to punch the hole in the cable is approximately 1250 Newton.
Caution:
Punched conductors should be clean as illustrated below, with no evidence of dragging or loose conductor material.
Caution:
Power wires should not be damaged during cable punching.

3. Push the base of the FLX-60 Crimp/pierce connector base through the hole in the cable as shown below.

4. Place the top housing of the FLX-60 Crimp/pierce connector over the base.
Caution:
Make sure that the two halves of the connector are correctly aligned by ensuring the retention studs in the top housing
connector fit in their corresponding holes in the connector base.
