The FLX-NNI Controller contains a default pixel string
configuration. This default configuration consist of 64 lines of 256
pixels. The first 8 lines are applied to the data output port 1 (OUT
1), the next 8 to port 2 (OUT 2) and so on. The first line on each
port goes to the first output of its connected HUB. The second line
to the second output and so on up to eight.
This default line/pixel configuration allows to view content or test
patterns on the pixels connected with the FLX-NNI Controller.
The content displayed will be mixed up because the physical
location of the pixels does probably not match with the default
configuration.
Note that the pixel string configuration, which was set by the
Director toolset, is stored in the flash memory of the FLX-NNI
Controller and thus remains available for restoring.
This message will appear during the 'Restore' action.
This menu allows you to start loading the default configuration.
Note that the default pixel string configuration will overrule
the active pixel string configuration which was set by the
Director toolset.
Only a restore action or a power off/on action will retrieve the
original pixel string configuration set by the Director toolset.

Once the default string configuration is loaded, the 'String config'
menu is displayed.
This menu displays the counted link errors of the data IN and
data TRU connections of the FLX-NNI Controller. This is very
helpful if you see for example sparkles on the screen, or if the
communication seems to work hardly. On the LCD-display,
you see the number of errors on the input and the two output
connections. 0 means no errors, 65535 means maximum number
of errors. The error counter increments, if errors are detected,
until you press Reset (counting restarts from 0).
REMARK: A not-connected data IN port will always display
maximum number of errors (65535; just ignore this).
TIP: It may be helpful to count the errors over a very long period
of time in case errors occur exceptional. The menu doesn't
disappear after a given time. If after a long period the error
counter is still zero, you can conclude that this path is OK.
