B44 CHECK CIRCUIT 770 (W) FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
REPLACE the GEM; REFER to Section 419-10. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR circuit 762 (Y/W). CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition switch to OFF, then ON. TEST the system for
normal operation.
NOTE: The active command PLATE PWR is located in the 4-Wheel Electronic Shift active command menu.
Set the active command PLATE PWR to ON.
Monitor the PID PLATE_B.
Does the PID PLATE_B not indicate OPEN?
Yes
GO to B44.
No
GO to B43.
Connect a jumper wire between transfer case assembly C201-10, circuit 762 (Y/W), and C201-1, circuit 770 (W).
Monitor the PID PLATE_B.
Does the PID PLATE_B indicate CLOSED?
Yes
GO to B47.
No
GO to B45.
Measure the resistance between transfer case assembly C201-1, circuit 770 (W), and ground.
