Removal And Replacement

NOTE
Ensure that the EPROMs are inserted in
their proper sockets, with the notches on
the EPROMs facing towards connectors
PI and P2 on the PCA.

READ/WRITE PCA-A2
To remove read/write PCA-A2 (16), proceed as
follows:
a. Remove read/write PCA-A2 from the drive as
described in steps a through e of the controller
PCA-A6 removal procedure (refer to para-
graph 6-10).
b. Remove the four TI0 screws (14) which secure
read/write PCA-A2 (16) to the PCA shield (IS).
c. Disconnect read/write PCA-A2 (16) from con-
troller PCA-A6 (9).
d. Remove the two T 1 0 screws (12) which secure
the ground assembly (13) to PCA-A2 (16) and
remove the ground assembly (13).
Reinstallation is a reversal of the removal
a. Remove controller PCA-A6 (refer to paragraph
6-10), read/write PCA-A2 (refer to paragraph
6-12), and servo PCA-AI (refer to paragraph
6-13).
b.
Disconnect connectors P2 and P3 on power
supply output cable W4 (88) from connectors
J2 and J
I.
respectively, on power distribution
PCA-AS (28).
c.
Disconnect connector Pion speed sensor cable
WS (34) from connector J3 on PCA-AS (28).
d.
Disconnect connector Pion primary power
cable WI (87) from connector Jl on filter FLI
(24).
e. Remove the four TIS' screws (20) and four T 1 0
screws (21) which secure the rear panel (22) to
the drive.
NOTE
The three TIS screws which secure the
line filter (24) to the rear panel need not
be removed.

Remove the rear panel (22) from the drive.

SERVO PCA-Al
To remove servo PCA-Al (11), proceed as follows:
a. Remove read/write PCA-A2 from the drive as
described in steps a through e of controller
PCA-A6 removal procedure (refer to para-
graph 6-10).
b. While holding cable W8 (7) out of the way,
press down on the PCA guide (78) latch and
slide servo PCA-Al out of the drive.
Reinstallation is a reversal of the removal process.

POWER DISTRIBUTION PCA-AS
To remove power distribution PCA-AS (28, figure
9-1), proceed as follows:

g. Remove the four T 1 0 screws (27) which secure
power distribution PCA-AS (28) to the rear
panel (22) and remove the PCA.
Reinstallation is a reversal of the removal
procedure.

LINE FILTER ASSEMBLY FL 1
To remove line filter assembly FL I (24. figure 9-1),
proceed as follows:
a. Remove the rear panel (22) as described in steps
a through f of the power distribution PCA-AS
removal procedure (refer to paragraph 6-14).
b. Remove the three IS screws (23) securing the
line filter (24) to the rear panel (22).
c. Disengage the line filter connector from its
