4. Connect Inductive Tachometer (YU-08036)
to ignition lead.
5. Start engine and accelerate to about 4,000
r/min.
6. Measure:
• Lighting voltage
OK
~>1 Lighting system is good.
" L I G H T S " switch c o n d u c t check:
1. Remove front fender and disconnect left
handlebar switch lead.
2. Set Pocket Tester (YU-03112) selector to
"'~
x 1" position.
3. Connect tester leads to "LIGHTS" switch
leads.

switch is turned to "LO'" position.
Tester ( + ) l e a d - * B l u e lead
Tester ( - ) lead-~Green lead
switch is turned to " H I " position.
Tester ( + ) l e a d - ~ B l u e lead
Tester ( - ) l e a d - * Y e l l o w lead

Continuity exists

Continuity does

~'1 Replace left handlebar switch.
