Symptom
The basics menu display
is different from that
shown in the manual.
The system regularly
reports a paper jam.
The copies are output
reduced or enlarged
although the
magnification ration is set
to 1:1.
The cycle was
interrupted.
The system copies
immediately after the
warm-up phase.
The EDH will not feed
originals.
The finisher is not
working.
The finisher is stapling at
the wrong position.
The hole punch unit is
not working.

Possible Cause
The system administrator
has changed settings.
Labels or OHP
transparencies were
printed previously.
The paper has not been
loaded correctly.
The AMS feature is
enabled.
There is a paper jam.
The copy limit has been
reached.
You pressed the
[START] key on the
control panel during the
warm-up phase.
The paper size or the
paper thickness is not
correct.
The EDH is overloaded.
There is a paper jam.
The finisher door is open. Close the finisher door.
No finisher function is
enabled in the output
menu.
Automatic rotation is
enabled.
The waste container is
full.
Troubleshooting
Action
Talk to the system
administrator.
Check whether there are
labels stuck to the
reported paper jam
position. Use the bypass
tray only to process
special paper.
Load the paper correctly.
See page 2-37.
Press [APS] or [1,000] for
copies of the same size.
Clear the paper jam.
Talk to the system
administrator.
Do not make system
settings until the display
shows copier ready.
Place the original on the
original glass.
Load the up to 100
originals.
Clear the paper jam.
Check the settings in the
output menu.
Change the position of
the original to prevent
rotation.
Empty the hole punch
unit waste container.
