CYLINDER HEAD, removal

Important
Do not remove the cylinder head when hot to avoid
deformation.
lf cylinder head is deformed by more than 0.10 mm, level it off by
removing a maximum of 0.20 mm.
For the cylinder head tightening procedure see page 67.

Valves

To remove the valves it is necessary to remove the collets; place
a spacer under the valve head, press strongly on the spring cap
as shown in the picture.
Components:
1 Valve stem
2 Valve stem seal ring
3 Spring seat
4 Spring
5 Spring cap
6 Collets

Valve stem sealing rings - Reassembly

To prevent deformation of the sealing ring 1 as it is inserted
onto the valve guide, insert it onto tool "7107-1460-047" 2 (after
lubricating the sealing ring) and proceed as shown int the picture
ensuring that gasket 1 is completely fitted.

Valve springs

Measure free height with a gauge.
Free height A = 46 mm.
Note: If the free height A is less than 43,5 mm replace the
spring.
