shoot a subject in a dark place and set the flash to _ []

or _ (Flash On) the image will always be bright.
• When you press the shutter button halfway, the difference between the
standard exposure*
and the selected exposure
appears on the LCD monitor
(or viewfinder).
If the difference is more than 2 stops, "-2" or "+2" appears on
the LCD monitor (or viewfinder).
* The standard exposure
is calculated by the AE function according to the
selected metering method.

The AF frame indicates
the area of the composition
on which
the camera
focuses
and can be set manually
to the desired
area. This is convenient
for focusing
accurately
on an off-center
subject to obtain the composition
you desire.
However,
the AF frame
is fixed to center-point
when the digital zoom
is
used,
even if you previously
set the AF frame to the position
you desire.

Press
the
_
button.
The AF frame appears in green.

Use
the
A,
V,
_ or I_ button
to move
the
AF
frame
to the
desired
area,
then
press
the
_
button.
• You can immediately
shoot the image using the selected AF frame by
pressing the shatter button instead of pressing
the _
button.
• The AF frame will move back to its original position (Center) if you hold
down the _
button.
