Changing the Compression Ratio (Image Quality)
Choose from two compression ratios, as follows: [ ] (Super Fine), [
(Fine).
For guidelines on how many shots at each compression ratio can fit on a
memory card, see "Specifications" (= 2 74).

Changing the IS Mode Settings

If image stabilization cannot prevent camera shake, mount the
camera on a tripod or take other measures to hold it still. In this
case, set [IS Mode] to [Off].

Press the <m> button, choose [
the menu, press the <l> button, and
choose the desired option (= 4 1).

Access the setting screen.

Press the <n> button, choose [IS
Settings] on the [4] tab, and then press
the <m> button (= 4 2).

Choose [IS Mode], and then choose the
desired option (= 4 2).
Optimal image stabilization for the
Continuous
shooting conditions is automatically
applied (Intelligent IS) (= 5 3).
Image stabilization is active only at
Shoot Only*
the moment of shooting.
Off
Deactivates image stabilization.
* The setting is changed to [Continuous] for movie recording.
