Shooting Movies in <E> Mode
Shooting Still Images During Movie Recording
Shoot still images during movie recording as follows.

Enter <E> mode.
z z Set the mode dial to <E>.
X X Black bars displayed on the top and
bottom edges of the screen indicate
image areas not recorded.

Configure the settings to suit
the movie (= 2 60 – 271).

Shoot.
z z
Press the movie button.
z z
To stop movie recording, press the movie
button again.
Still Images

While shooting a movie, focus
on a subject.
z z Make sure that [4] is displayed, and
then press the shutter button halfway.
X X Focus and exposure are now readjusted.
(However, the camera does not beep.)
X X Movie recording will continue.

Shoot.
z z Press the shutter button all the way
down.
X X Your shot will be recorded.
