Image Brightness (Exposure Compensation)

Adjusting Image Brightness (Exposure Compensation)
The standard exposure set by the camera can be adjusted in 1/3-stop
increments, in a range of –3 to +3.
Locking Image Brightness/Exposure (AE Lock)
Before shooting, you can lock the exposure, or you can specify focus and
exposure separately.
AE: Auto Exposure
After the exposure is locked, you can adjust the combination of shutter
speed and aperture value by turning the <5> dial (Program Shift).

screen, press the <q><r> buttons or
turn the <5> dial to adjust brightness,
and then press the <o> button again
