Overview of the ThinApp Assistant

A ThinApp application is a self-contained application virtualization solution that requires no client-side agents or

About ThinApp Applications

ThinApp applications can be deployed on a machine without modifying the local operating system or file system.
They run in a "sandbox" (or virtual environment) which protects the local operating system from installation

accounts without local installation.

The ThinApp Virtual Operating System
A ThinApp application runs in a virtual operating system—a small light-weight component which is embedded with
each ThinApp application—that consists of a virtual file system and a virtual registry. When the ThinApp application
is run, the virtual operating system environment is merged with the real system environment.
