Specifying Package Information

The first step in creating an App-V application is to enter the package name, root folder name, and a comment. To
specify package information for an App-V application, perform the following steps:

In the Microsoft App-V Assistant, open the Package Information page.
2.
In the Package Name field, enter a name (a maximum of 64 characters) to identify this virtual package.
3.
In the Root Folder Name field, enter a name to identify the directory that will contain the App-V application's
file. When an App-V application is configured on a client machine, it is mounted on the computer's
.sft
drive in the folder you specify in this field.
