Starting the engine (03_08,

03_09, 03_10, 03_11, 03_12)
As with any high performance engine, the
proper starting procedure is to be known
and utilized each time the motorcycle is
started. The SXV 4.5 and 5.5 models are
equipped with a fast idle knob that when
engaged, raises the engine's idle RPM
for cold starting and engine warm up. It is
important to understand completely how
to engage and disengage this feature pri-
or to starting the motorcycle.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT INSERT OBJECTS IN THE
TOP FAIRING (BETWEEN THE HAN-
DLEBAR AND THE INSTRUMENT
PANEL), IN ORDER NOT TO OB-
STRUCT THE HANDLEBAR'S ROTA-
TION AND THE INSTRUMENT PAN-
EL'S VISIBILITY.
IMPORTANT
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE,
READ THE ''SAFE RIDING'' SECTION
CAREFULLY.

Demarrage du moteur (03_08,

03_09, 03_10, 03_11, 03_12)
Comme avec tout moteur haute perfor-
mance, il faut bien connaître la correcte
procédure de démarrage et l'appliquer à
chaque démarrage du motocycle. Les
modèles SXV 4.5 et 5.5 sont équipés d'un
bouton de ralenti accéléré qui, lorsqu'il
est actionné, augmente le ralenti moteur
pour faciliter le démarrage à froid et faire
chauffer le moteur. Il est important de
bien comprendre la manière d'activer et
désactiver cette fonctionnalité avant de
démarrer le motocycle.
ATTENTION
NE PAS PLACER D'OBJETS À L'INTÉ-
RIEUR DE LA BULLE (ENTRE LE GUI-
DON ET LE TABLEAU DE BORD),
AFIN DE NE PAS GÊNER LA ROTA-
TION DU GUIDON NI LA VISION DU
TABLEAU DE BORD.
ATTENTION
AVANT DE DÉMARRER LE MOTEUR,
LIRE ATTENTIVEMENT LE PARAGRA-
PHE « CONDUITE EN SÉCURITÉ ».
