18.2 Syslog Log Settings Configuration

Use the SYSLOG Log Settings screen to configure which logs the ZyXEL Device is to send
and the schedule for when the ZyXEL Device is to send the logs.
Click ADVANCED > SYSLOG > Log Settings to display the screen as shown next.

DESCRIPTION
Enter the IP address of the first syslog server on the WAN in dotted decimal
notation.
Enter the IP address of the second syslog server on the WAN in dotted decimal
notation.
Select Enable to have the ZyXEL Device send syslog messages to the e-mail
account that you specify.
Select Disable to not have the ZyXEL Device send syslog e-mail messages.
Enter the IP address or domain name of the mail server for the e-mail
addresses specified below. If this field is left blank, the syslog will not be sent
via e-mail.
Enter the port number (25, or between 2500 and 2599) for the mail server. The
default is 25.
Select this check box if your SMTP server requires user name and password
authentication before accepting e-mail. Your network administrator, SMTP
server provider or ISP should supply the username and password.
Enter the username for the SMTP server.
Enter the password for the SMTP server.
Type a name that you want to be in the "message from" field of the log e-mail
message that the ZyXEL Device sends.
Enter your e-mail address. This is the address others use to send e-mail to
Email Address 1/Email Address 2.
Enter your first and second e-mail addresses to which the ZyXEL Device is to
send the syslog e-mails. If you leave these fields blank, logs will not be sent via
e-mail.
Click Apply to save the settings.
