Using VLANs, Spanning Tree, Hunt Groups, and VTP Snooping
To create additional mapping tables using the web agent:
1. Select 3Com Mapping Table from the L2 Switching > VLANs
group on the web agent window. The 3Com Mapping Table
Configuration dialog box opens
(Figure 4-4).

2. Select CREATE. The Create 3Com Mapping Table dialog
box opens (Figure 4-5).

3. Enter a name for this entry in the Name field.
4. Click APPLY to save your changes, or CANCEL to restore
previous settings. The 3Com Mapping Table Configuration
dialog box redisplays with the 3Com mapping table name you
created listed.
5. Open the corresponding pull-down menus to assign a Avaya
VLAN ID association to each of the 16 available VLAN IDs.
6. Click APPLY to save your changes, or CANCEL to restore
previous settings.
* Note: The mapping instructions in the Default table are fixed
and cannot be changed. To actually map VLAN IDs, you
must create new 3Com Mapping tables. Setting a port to
use a 3Com mapping table causes it to ignore other
VLAN tagging parameters. The switch assumes that only
3Com VLAN tags are received on the selected port.
