Policy Routing
To support multiple network layer protocols, IETF extended BGP-4 by
introducing IPv6 BGP. This document describes:
Configuring IPv6 BGP Basic Functions
Controlling Route Distribution and Reception
Configuring IPv6 BGP Route Attributes
Tuning and Optimizing IPv6 BGP Networks
Configuring a Large Scale IPv6 BGP Network
Routing policy is used on the router for route inspection, filtering,
attributes modifying when routes are received, advertised, or
redistributed. This document describes:
Defining Filters
Route policy configuration
Policy routing is to make forwarding decisions based on user-defined
policies. Different from the normal destination-based routing, policy
routing can make routing decisions based on the source address and
other criteria in addition to the destination IP address.
The S7900E series switches implement policy routing through QoS
policies. For details about traffic classification, traffic behavior and QoS
policy configuration commands, refer to QoS Commands in the QoS
Volume.
