Threader - Bernina 330 Service And Maintenance Manual

1. Gear pinion/toothed segment correction:
•
Use a screwdriver to move spherical bearing 17 out of its position and press
crankshaft down slightly until the toothed segment slides off the cogging.
•
Simultaneously, place the toothed segment parallel, inserting first tooth of
toothed segment into first root of gear pinion (see picture).
•
Place crankshaft and spherical bearing back in their correct positions.
2. Correction of pinning position:
•
Loosen clamp securing screw 7.
•
Turn crank into pinning position and pin.
•
Use pinning tool 001356.50.00 to pin balance
adjusting cam.
•
Turn toothed segment and gear pinion to stop,
hold and retighten screw 7.
•
Remove pinning tools
•
Start machine in service program mode.
•
Carry out Test 2 Balance (Adjusting
forward/reverse feeding)
(Chapter 6 test 2 Balance (adjusting
forward/reverse feed)).

5.8 Threader

Check:
•
Remove needle and insert threader gauge 030883.50.00.
•
Set needle bar to top dead centre (TDC).
•
Push threader downward until threader head turns in under
gauge.
Correction:
•
Loosen needle-bar guide adjusting screw 19.
•
The threader head can be adjusted by moving it up or down, as
appropriate.
•
Retighten needle-bar guide adjusting screw 19.
