4.3.9 Needle bar support and take-up lever

Disassembly of needle bar support:
•
Remove covers
•
Remove thread take-up lever cover.
•
Loosen screw 20 (T10 M3X4.5) and turn angular adjusting
piece away.
•
Unhook tension spring 36.
•
Unhook tension spring 37.
•
Pull needle bar support 1 fully to front and slide needle bar
clamp screw out from joint a.
Disassembly of take-up lever:
•
Loosen setscrew 7 (T10).
•
Loosen screw 26 (T20 M4X10) and remove screw along
with U-bolt.
•
Slide thread take-up lever out from balance piece
completely.
•
Remove take-up lever.
Assembly of take-up lever:
•
Insert crank of entire lever into balance piece a with flat
side pointing to setscrew.
•
Position in such way that there is no play or clamping.
Retighten setscrew 7 (T10).
•
Position link on frame and fasten u-bolt with screw 26
(T20 M4X10).
Assembly of needle bar support
•
Slide needle bar clamp screw back into joint a.
•
Position needle bar support on head frame.
•
Rehook tension spring 37.
•
Position angular adjusting piece, adjust so that there is no play or clamping
and retighten screw 20 (T10 M3X4.5).
•
Use pinning tool 002733.50.00 to pin drive gear.
•
Make sure that the zigzag segment sits in the centre.
•
Rehook tension spring 36.
•
Refit thread take-up lever cover.
•
Adjust needle tolerance
•
Adjust stith-width stop
•
Refit covers.
•
Functional check.
•
Sewing-off.
