5.5.8 Stitch plate needle penetration in Y-direction

Check:
•
Insert needle 130/705H Nm100. It should be in the centre
of the stitch hole (picture 5.5).
Setting:
•
Loosen nut 3.
•
Move stitch plate into specified position.
•
Retighten nut 3.

5.5.9 Needle height

Check:
•
Set needle to right position.
•
Set right needle edge flush with hook
tip (needle in upward motion).
•
In front view, lower edge of hook tip
should be 0.2mm above top edge of
needle eye.
Correction:
•
Loosen needle-bar clamping piece screw 20.
•
Set needle bar to required position.
•
Retighten screw 20.
•
Adjust threader (Chapter 5 Item 5.8

5.6 Feed-dog settings

5.6.1 Feed-dog synchronization (lift and advance timing)

Check:
•
Use adjusting tool 030349.70.00 (on the flat side) to pin main-
shaft balance piece.
•
The base shaft must sit in such way that the rear left marking
pin c on the drive gear is horizontal to shaft, i.e. in 9 o'clock
position.
Correction:
•
Drive gear and lift-/advance eccentric are press-fixed.
•
For correction, proceed as described under 'mounting of base shaft'
