5.4 Needle settings

5.4.1 Distance between needle bar and presser foot bar

Check:
• Attach presser foot no. 1.
• Attach needle 130/705 Nm 100.
• Move needle bar down until the tip of the
needle is just level with the stitch plate.
• Lift presser foot.
• Carefully move the sole of the presser foot
up and down until stop in each case. The
needle mustn't be touched or bent by the
sole when moving the sole this way.
Note: For a better view, use a white paper sheet to rest the tip of the needle on.
Setting:
• Loosen lock nut 3 (10mm).
• Use screw 2 (T15) to correct the position.
• Retighten lock nut 3.
• Adjust needle-/hook distance
Hook driver position).

• Needle penetration in Y- direction.
Attention!
The adjusting screw (2) must only be
used for the parallel setting of the needle
bar and presser foot bar. It mustn't be
used for the setting of the needle-/hook
distance!

refer to Chapter 5 item 5.5.7 Needle/hook
distance.
