5.5.3 Hook driver position

Check:
•
Place presser-foot gauge 398031.13.3+ underside-down on
the hook-race ring
•
The hook driver should be 0.1 – 0.15mm behind the front
edge of the hook race.
Correction:
•
Loosen driver shaft screw 14 (T8).
•
Slide hook driver fully into required position.
•
Retighten screw 14 (T8).

5.5.4 Hook driver cam

Check:
•
Clearance between hook-race ring and hook driver cam should be
0.1mm.
Correction:
•
Loosen screw 5 (T6),
•
Adjust clearance to maximum 0.1mm between hook driver cam and
hook-race ring.
•
Retighten screw 5.

5.5.5 Thread passage

Check:
•
Use 0.3mm feeler gauge to check the clearance between hook 1 and hook driver 4.
•
The clearance between hook and hook driver must be 0.3mm.
Correction:
•
If the clearance is too wide or too narrow, adjust the short driver arm with the adjusting tool
