Electronics

The electronics of the BERNINA 330, 350 and 380 are for the most part housed on three PCBAs (printed
circuit board assemblies).
Do not remove or plug in any connections when the sewing computer is switched on or
connected to the power supply.

2.1 PCBA-power

The PCBA power is fitted on the back of the sewing machine.
The circuit parts on the PCBA power generate the following DC
voltages:
5V/DC:
For the logics on the PCBA base.
12V/DC:
For the sewing light.
31V/DC:
For the main motor, winding motor and
stepping motors.
The fuses F2 and F3 protect components against overload in the
event of malfunction. If a fuse blows, this is always for a reason.
The cause must be identified and eliminated. The PCBA power
and PCBA base are connected with an 8-pin ribbon cable.

2.2 PCBA-RET

The PCBA-RET is mounted in the front cover. The microswitch captures the
actuating of the Return button as well as the Start/Stop button.
