Repair notes:
•
If «F» (for 'error') appears instead of «ok», the cause might be mechanical stiff-running.
•
RPM calibration factor can be read in test 11.
•
Before repeating the test, mechanical smooth-running must be ensured.
•
Check cables and connectors for deformation and/or wear and tear.
•
Replace PCBA-Base
•
Replace PCBA-Power
Do not remove or plug in any connections when the sewing computer is switched on or
connected to the power supply.
Test 7 Stitch-width stepping motor test
•
Set needle bar to top dead centre (TDC).
•
Select test no. 7.
Target state:
•
Stitch-width stepping motor turns back and forth.
•
Stitch-width bar display flashes.
•
Needle bar moves back and forth.
Press clr to exit test and to return to service program basic position.
Repair notes:
•
Swap connections of stepping motors on PCBA-Base to find the defective PCB.
•
If the stepping motor doesn't move, the fault might be with the stepping motor or the
PCBA-Base.
•
If the needle bar doesn't move at all or not entirely from left to right, the needle-bar
support must be checked for mechanical smooth-running.
Do not remove or plug in any connections when the sewing computer is switched on or
connected to the power supply.
Test 8 The two stepping motors in pinning position
•
Set needle bar to top dead centre (TDC).
•
Select test no. 8.
Target state:
•
The stepping motors are powered to the stepping
parameter of the pinning position.
•
«P» appears in the display.
Press clr to exit test and to return to service program basic position.
Note: This test is only used on stepping motors out of the machine.
