Multicast VLAN Registration
This chapter shows you how to use Multicast VLAN Registration (mvr) commands.

35.1 Overview

Use the mvr commands in the configuration mode to create and configure multicast VLANs.
Note: If you want to enable IGMP snooping see

35.2 Create Multicast VLAN

Use the following commands in the config-mvr mode to configure a multicast VLAN group.
Syntax:
mvr <vlan-id>
mvr <vlan-id> source-port <port-list>
mvr <vlan-id> receiver-port <port-list>
mvr <vlan-id> inactive
mvr <vlan-id> mode <dynamic|compatible>
mvr <vlan-id> name <name-str>
mvr <vlan-id> tagged <port-list>
mvr <vlan-id> group <name-str> start-address <ip> end-address <ip>
mvr <vlan-id> exit

traffic.
