MPC Key 61 also includes touch strip and touch FX support.
To use the touch strip with MPC Key 61:
1. Press the Touch Strip button to enter Touch Strip mode selection.
2. Press the Touch Strip button again repeatedly to cycle through the available Touch Strip modes as shown on
MPC Key 61's display:
Notes
Pitch Bend
Mod Wheel
Sustain
Expression
You can also press and hold the Touch Strip button and use the window that appears to select a mode.
3. Press your finger on the touch strip and move it up and down as an expressive control for the selected
parameter.
4. Press and hold Shift and press the Touch Strip button to configure settings for each mode, if available.
To load the Touch FX plugin from MPC Key 61:
1. Tap an empty slot in the Inserts section of any channel strip.
2. Double-tap an empty insert slot in the Effects window to open the list of plugin effects
3. Tap the + or – button to expand the Harmonic category.
4. Select the TouchFX plugin.
5. Tap the pencil icon to open the plugin window, where you can adjust the plugin settings.
Note: In standalone mode, starting an empty project will automatically place an instance of Touch FX on Outputs
1/2.
Alternatively, you can insert Touch FX into the channel strip from the Touch FX setup window (Shift+Touch FX).
To use Touch FX with MPC Key 61:
1. If it is not already, press the Touch FX button to set the touch strip to Touch FX mode. Touch FX mode is the
default mode for the MPC Key 61 touch strip.
2. Press and hold Shift and press the Touch FX button to open the Touch FX setup window.
Press the Touch FX Setup button at the bottom of the touchscreen to open the effect window.
3. Once setup is complete, you can also press and hold the Touch FX button to quickly select one of the available
effects linked above.
